GERICON

– The Annual National Conference of the Indian Academy of Geriatrics

GERICON is an annual event that provides a wonderful opportunity for health professionals to listen to and rub shoulders with experts in Geriatrics from India and around the world presenting their insights and experiences in managing older people. It also offers an excellent platform for researchers, both young and the accomplished to share their research findings to encourage further research in the field of geriatrics. It also provides an opportunity for health professionals to widen their network which is very important for Geriatrics, still a very young specialty in India.

GERICON -2023, AIIMS NEW DELHI 

Gericon 2023, hosted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi from September 28th to 30th, focused on the convergence of digital innovations, geriatric medicine, and person-centric care. The conference provided a platform for experts to navigate the intersections of these fields, fostering discussions and insights that contribute to the advancement of elderly healthcare. Participants explored cutting-edge technologies, medical breakthroughs, and holistic approaches to enhance the well-being of the aging population.

GERICON -2022, KOLKATA

The 19th edition of GERICON was hosted in association with API- West Bengal Branch from 28th to 30th October 2022 at ITC Royal Kolkata . The theme of this conference was  “New Age Technology in Health & Disease”. 

 GERICON 2021 – WARANGAL

A hybrid conference was conducted at MGM Warangal on 18th-19th December 2021.

GERICON – 2019 at CMC VELLORE

The 17th edition of GERICON was successfully hosted by the esteemed Christian Medical College in Vellore from December 5th to 7th, 2019. The event witnessed the participation of approximately 400 delegates from both national and international arenas. The conference, themed “Envision, Implement, Empower, and Impact,” aimed at fostering discussions and initiatives in the field of geriatrics.

GERICON 2019 offered a rich academic experience with a diverse range of sessions, including platform and poster presentations, panel discussions, and workshops. The conference served as a knowledge hub, providing immense learning opportunities for attendees. Notably, about 80 scientific papers, showcasing the latest research in geriatrics, were presented by young and dynamic geriatricians during the event. This edition of GERICON played a pivotal role in advancing the discourse on geriatric medicine and contributing to the overall empowerment and impact on elderly healthcare.
