Objectives of IAG

Knowledge in Geriatrics

To promote training of health care workers in the field of geriatrics in India

Training in Geriatrics

To organize conferences, workshops and training programmes in geriatrics.

Disseminate Information

To publish a quarterly journal to promote researchers to disseminate knowledge to health professionals across the width and breadth of the country

Encourage Research

To promote scientific research and experimental work on geriatrics &  gerentology.

Membership Options

If you are either involved in delivering health care to older people or have a special interest in Geriatrics, you are welcome to apply for membership in the Indian academy of Geriatrics.

Life Member – Regular

Any doctor with a post graduate ( MD Geriatrics or MD/DNB Internal Medicine) degree from any institution or University recognised by the MCI can apply. You will be contacted by our office staff to complete the membership process.

Life Member – Associate

Any health professional having a basic degree recognised by the MCI but not eligible for life member regular membership is eligible to apply for this membership.
